Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, opened me up to a diverse, complex, and exciting world of colors, aromas, languages, foods, people and possibilities. That early exposure to diversity and differences instilled in me a never-ending curiosity and a tendency to explore layers, variations, simplicity and complexities. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education at Penn State University, where I concentrated on ceramics. I went on to own and operate a paint-your-own-pottery studio in Keene, NH called "The Clay Way", which provided a studio space that allowed people of all ages to come and create, as well as offering mosaics and wheel-thrown and hand-built pottery lessons.

I continue to teach (and learn) at the River Gallery School of Art in downtown Brattleboro, VT, and am an active member of Brattleboro-West Arts, a collective of artists who create and share their art and knowledge with the public.
